CMA Celebrates DOJ Dropping Idaho Lawsuit
March 11, 2025 3:39 pmThe Catholic Medical Association (CMA) applauds the Department of Justice (DOJ) for dropping the previous administration’s lawsuit attempting to force Idaho to allow abortions. “CMA celebrates the protection of the sanctity of life,” said President Michelle Stanford, M.D. We applaud the DOJ and their decision to allow the unborn the right to life in Idaho.” Idaho’s law, the Defense of Life Act, protects women and unborn children by preventing abortion unless medically necessary to save the life of the mother or in cases of rape or incest. Medical Professionals Gather for a Day of Retreat
March 9, 2025 5:41 pmBy Jeanine Morelli M.D. The Manhattan Guild, Long Island Guild and the prospective Giuseppe Moscati Guild from northern NJ cohosted a half day retreat on Saturday February 15th at the Thomas Berry Retreat Center in Jamaica Queens. The retreat day drew nearly 30 attendees including physicians and students. The day began with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass followed by a Holy Hour and confession and the veneration of St Alloysius Gonzaga relic. That goes to a long-time Catholic Medical Association (CMA) member and leader that I met soon after joining the organization many years ago. Since then, we have witnessed an accelerating promotion of unethical interventions by secular medical organizations: abortion, assisted suicide, transgender interventions, and others. CMA Challenges HHS Abortion Mandate
February 14, 2025 2:57 pmAlliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed a federal lawsuit Friday against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for trying to force emergency room doctors to perform abortions under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act.
